Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Appointics website, booking platform and related services (the "Service") provided by Appointics ("we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Appointics lets service businesses create a branded booking page, manage services, staff, schedules and appointments, connect their own payment provider, and enable optional add-ons. The core platform is provided free of charge; certain add-ons and message-based features are paid, as described at the time you enable them.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Business owner responsibilities

If you use Appointics to take bookings, you are responsible for:

• The services, prices, availability and content you publish on your booking page.
• Delivering the services your customers book, and handling their enquiries, cancellations and refunds.
• Complying with all laws that apply to your business, including consumer, tax and data-protection laws, and for lawfully handling your customers' personal data.
• Obtaining any consents required to send reminders or marketing messages to your customers.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose; upload malicious code; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts; scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the Service; or use it to send spam or content that is illegal, infringing or abusive. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Payments and add-ons

• Customer payments. When you enable payments, transactions are processed by your connected Stripe account. Appointics is not a party to those transactions and does not hold your funds.
• Paid add-ons. Optional add-ons are billed as described when you enable them. Message-based features (such as WhatsApp or SMS) may be charged per message sent.
• Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes arising from your use of the Service and your own sales.

6. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties such as Google and Stripe. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control them.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and trademarks, is owned by Appointics and its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of the content you upload and grant us the licence needed to host and display it as part of the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appointics will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Appointics harmless from claims, damages and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Appointics is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
